1. Who we are

2. Information we handle
Depending on how you use the service, we handle account and sign-in details, files you upload, transcription and speaker-label results, settings and task information. Recordings may contain voices or other personal information about you or others. We also use browser identifiers and may receive technical and usage information through enabled service integrations. Provide content only when you have the necessary rights and permissions.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide account access, receive and process recordings, create and display results, support editing and export, administer usage and billing where available, and respond to support and privacy requests. We may also use technical information to maintain, protect and improve the service, subject to applicable law and your choices.
4. Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity: performance of a contract for requested services, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests where permitted and balanced against your rights, or consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on it; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. Cookies and browser storage
We use a sign-in cookie and FingerprintJS to create a browser-derived identifier stored in a cookie for up to 365 days. Google Tag Manager is integrated and may load configured tags. If you select a file before signing in, your browser temporarily stores a copy to resume upload. The selection expires after one hour and is removed when retrieved; expired records are cleared when another file is saved. If you abandon the flow, a copy may remain until later cleanup or until you clear site data. Browser controls can remove stored data; blocking necessary storage may affect the service.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We use or integrate services that support sign-in, hosting, transcription, speaker identification, analytics or payment where enabled. Integrations include Google sign-in, FingerprintJS and Google Tag Manager; payment code includes Stripe integration. Recordings may be sent to configured transcription and speaker-identification services. We may disclose information to service providers acting for these purposes and where required by law or necessary to protect rights, users or the service.
7. Retention and deletion
We determine retention by considering the purpose of processing, account and service needs, security, applicable legal obligations and dispute resolution. The service attempts to remove the original uploaded file when processing completes or fails. You can request deletion of a transcription in the workspace; deletion of associated files is attempted and may fail. Backups or records may remain for applicable operational or legal needs. 8. International transfers
Our service and providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a cross-border transfer, we will use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and safeguards. Contact us for information about a particular transfer and its safeguards.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. To exercise a right, contact contact@dolphinscribe.cc. We may need to verify your identity and may apply lawful exceptions. You also have the right to object to direct marketing where applicable.
10. Security
We use measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss and misuse. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your credentials confidential, use care when sharing recordings, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. Children
The service is not intended for use by children without any consent required by applicable law. A parent or guardian may contact us about personal information submitted by a child; we will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service, practices or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy and provide additional notice or seek consent where required by applicable law.
