Not just text — a transcript that jumps back to the video

I've finished pulling this week's numbers — retention is up on last month.

00:19Speaker 2

What's day-one retention now?

00:23Speaker 1

Around 41%, three points up. Mostly from the onboarding change.

00:31Speaker 2

So could we move the onboarding step even earlier?

00:38Speaker 1

Sure — let's A/B it in next week's release.

Features

The parts that actually save you time

A two-hour recording is not hard because it is long. It is hard because you have to find things in it.

Subtitles from local files

Upload local audio or video to generate timestamped subtitles.

Local audio and video

Upload MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 or MOV and get a timestamped transcript.

Speaker labels

We work out how many people are talking and label them. Rename them if you like.

Every line links back to the exact moment, so checking never means scrubbing.

Long audio

Anything over an hour is chunked and stitched, so it will not fail halfway.

Export anywhere

TXT, SRT, VTT, Markdown and JSON. Subtitles drop straight into a player or editor.

Something missing? Email us.

Which files are supported?

Upload local audio or video such as MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 and MOV.

Do I need an account to extract captions?

Yes. Choose a file and sign in. Meeting recordings require you to confirm speaker settings; subtitle extraction resumes automatically.

What if the video has no captions?

Yes. Upload a local video and speech recognition will generate subtitles.

Can I play the uploaded file?

You can play the audio on the result page and seek using subtitle timestamps.

What formats can I export?

SRT, VTT, TXT and Markdown, plus a plain-text copy with or without timestamps.

How long do uploads stay?

Audio is cleaned up on a schedule under our privacy policy, and you can delete it yourself from the workspace.

Is transcribing someone else’s video allowed?

Only process content you have the right to use — you own it, you are licensed to, or it falls under fair use. We act on takedown notices.
